The PVOP project is transforming Europe’s approach to solar energy, enhancing efficiency and slashing maintenance costs across the continent. By leveraging advanced artificial intelligence and big data, this initiative analyses over 11 GW of operational data from solar installations to pinpoint and address system inefficiencies. Through rigorous testing of eight innovative solutions, PVOP aims to boost system performance and support the EU’s sustainable energy goals.
The SOLARIS project aims to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and profitability of solar PV systems through innovative operation and maintenance strategies. By leveraging advanced digital and physical tools for accurate forecasting, monitoring, and fault detection, SOLARIS seeks to achieve a 90% performance index and over 98% availability for solar PV plants, while reducing the levelised cost of energy by 10%. Collaborating with 15 partners across Europe, the project will demonstrate its solutions in diverse PV use cases, fostering broader market uptake and technological advancements in the sector.
