15th SOPHIA Workshop on Solar PV Module Reliability

The 15th edition of the renowned SOPHIA Workshop on solar PV module reliability is set to take place from April 29–30, 2025, hosted at the DTU Risø Campus in Denmark.

Organised by the Technical University of Denmark and the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE (Germany), this in-person event will address cutting-edge topics in solar PV, looking at:

  • Field experience and in-field analytics for solar PV performance

  • Glass breakage and mechanical stability of solar PV modules

  • Lightweight solar PV modules and related testing methods

  • Modelling approaches for reliability assessment

With a special emphasis on the mechanical reliability of  solar PV modules, lightweight module performance, and field inspection techniques, the SOPHIA Workshop offers a valuable platform for researchers, engineers, and industry professionals to exchange knowledge and explore the latest innovations.

On April 29, Lucas Koester from Eurac Research will be representing SUPERNOVA during a panel discussion on ‘Field experience and inspection methods,’ and will discuss the utilisation of smart string inverters for advanced inspection and monitoring of solar PV systems.

Registration is now open — don’t miss your chance to connect with leading experts and shape the future of PV technology!
